My name is Alyssa Manley! I was born and raised in Tennessee, I moved to North Carolina in November of 2020 after marrying my husband Andrew! I have loved dance since I was a little girl! I started dancing at three years old and started competing at eight years old! At age 14, I started teaching and found my true passion! In college, I got to continue to dance as well as join the cheer team! I found a new love and then coached a competitive cheer team and elementary cheer for two years! My favorite part of teaching is sharing my love of dance and cheer with others, and at Vision, I am so blessed to add a whole other level and get to share the love of Jesus too! VDC has brought me the most amazing friends and family!

Gray
When it comes to dance, tumbling, and cheer; it is very hard for me to pick a favorite. Fortunately, here at Vision, I have the opportunity to share my love for all three! Dance allows me to express myself in ways that words fail. There is a spiritual connection to the music, the message, and the movement. Teaching gymnastics is, by far, the most rewarding. Watching athletes grow, master new skills, and find confidence in themselves will always, and forever, be the highlight in my coaching career. Cheer is in my blood, so to speak. I have dedicated my life to pushing this sport forward and will continue to do so as long as I’m able. I am incredibly blessed to be a part of Vision! I cannot wait to see how God continues to make His presence known amongst our athletes, staff, and studio as a whole!

My name is Zoe Collins, and I have been dancing since I was 8 years old. I danced recreationally for 5 years before starting the competition when I was 13. That is where I found my true passion! I started teaching right out of high school, and have been teaching ever since! Teaching competition is the best job in the world and I wouldn't trade it for anything else. I continue to dance and compete myself, while also coaching some amazing teams! VDC is my home away from home, my second family

Crystal
Wisdom
Office
Manager
Joining Vision Dance and Cheer Ministry last fall has truly been a blessing in my life. Yes, I do hold down things at the front desk, but what I am fortunate to do at Vision extends far past that. The Lord knew exactly where I needed to be, and I am thankful to be a part of such a great team who above all love him. A team who, as sisters in Christ, support and come alongside one another in times of incredible joy, as well as in times of need. Because of this, we each are a piece of the puzzle that makes up Vision. Being a part of this ministry means I get the opportunity to share in the lives of so many children who come in and out of the studio each and every week.
Ballet Instructor
Taylor
Buchanan
I have loved dance since I can remember! I began classical ballet at the age of 6 and continued with that until I went to college. I have had experience in pointe, jazz, tap, and modern as well. I started out being an assistant teacher for many years and now have been solo teaching for about 3 years. I am engaged and getting married in September! When I’m not teaching dance, I’m cutting and coloring hair in the salon. I enjoy hanging out with my pup, soaking in the sun, and spending time with Jesus! I’m SO grateful and excited for the opportunity to join Vision Dance.

I have been married to my husband, Brandon, for 8 years and we have one son, Grady, who is 2 years old. I began dancing at the age of 5. I cheered in middle school and was on the competitive cheer team at my high school all four years. During my freshman year of college, I was on the UNC-Charlotte Dance Team; upon transferring to Meredith College, I was a member of the Jazz & Tap Company. I have been teaching dance since 2010. While teaching high school FACS courses, I coached JV and Varsity competitive cheer for 2 years. I fulfilled a dream of performing with Project Dance in Times Square in NYC in 2018. I now work on staff with the campus ministry, Cru, at Wake Forest University. I am passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus with others, both in my career and through my love of cheer and dance. I’m glad to be back teaching at Vision!

Instructor
Bethany
Egelnick
I started dancing at my local dance studio when I was 8 learning jazz, ballet and contemporary. Instantly I fell in love with the world of dance between the athleticism, discipline, and grace it teaches. Most importantly I love how you can worship God through the art of dance. Our bodies are designed to move and create and that looks different for each individual but that’s why I love dancing so much! I look forward to this next year to be able to teach students with that same passion in their hearts!
